Windsurf's SWE-1.5 co-optimizes the coding model, harness, and inference
Cognition released SWE-1.5 inside Windsurf, a large coding model trained against its Cascade agent harness and served with Cerebras for very high claimed token throughput.
Why it matters: The release argued that coding performance comes from co-designing the model, tools, evaluation environments, inference, and user experience, not selecting a model in isolation.
