OpenAI signs a 750-megawatt inference partnership with Cerebras
OpenAI announced a multiyear agreement to add 750 megawatts of Cerebras wafer-scale inference capacity through 2028. The partnership was intended to add a low-latency serving path alongside OpenAI's existing compute portfolio.
Why it matters: Frontier inference is becoming a heterogeneous infrastructure market in which specialized architectures can be routed to workloads that value response speed.
