OpenAI Images 2.6 adds GIFs, SVG export and editing controls
OpenAI released Images 2.6 globally in ChatGPT and Codex and exposed GPT-Image-2.6 Flare and Sunburst in the API. The release adds animated GIF generation, markup-guided edits, SVG export, image-quality and scene-complexity controls, with saved reference images in ChatGPT.
