Anthropic commits to multiple gigawatts of Google-Broadcom TPU capacity
Anthropic signed an agreement for multiple gigawatts of next-generation TPU capacity expected to begin coming online in 2027, mostly in the United States. The company said it would continue distributing Claude workloads across Google TPUs, AWS Trainium and NVIDIA GPUs.
Why it matters: Frontier-model resilience is becoming a portfolio of chips and clouds, while capacity decisions are being made years before users consume the resulting models.
