Google Cloud failure cascades into Cloudflare's Workers KV
A Google Cloud Service Control failure disrupted many APIs and a third-party storage dependency behind Cloudflare Workers KV. Cloudflare reported 90.22 percent of KV requests failing during a two-hour, twenty-eight-minute outage affecting Access, Workers AI, AutoRAG, and other services.
Why it matters: The incident exposed a transitive dependency beneath services marketed through another provider's control plane. Configuration, identity, and AI products failed together because they shared a storage and authorization boundary.
