Gemini Deep Research Max connects the web, private data and native visualizations

Google released new Deep Research and Deep Research Max agents built with Gemini 3.1 Pro. Through the Interactions API they can combine web search, file inputs, remote MCP servers, code execution and custom stores, stream progress, accept plan edits and generate inline charts or infographics.

Why it matters: Deep research is becoming a composable backend for professional workflows rather than a consumer report button. The valuable capability is controlled retrieval across public and proprietary evidence with a traceable plan and structured output.

The iterative visual loop was exposed through the Gemini API and Google AI Studio for tasks such as document inspection, object localization, and chart analysis.

Why it matters: Vision systems gained an explicit inspect-transform-reinspect loop, reducing the need to answer from a single compressed view of a complex image.
