Alpamayo-R1 opens reasoning VLA research for driving
NVIDIA released Alpamayo-R1-10B weights, inference code, a subset of its training and evaluation data, and the AlpaSim simulator. The Cosmos Reason-based model joins chain-of-thought-style scene analysis to path planning for difficult autonomous-driving scenarios.
Why it matters: Autonomous-driving researchers can inspect and test a reasoning-and-trajectory stack instead of relying only on closed demonstrations.
