Open WebUI 0.12.5 adds an admin session explorer for tokens, responses, errors, saved replies and tool-call timing; automation-failure notifications; multi-page collaborative notes; generated-image access in terminals; provider metadata; embedding-prefix settings; and a longer terminal startup timeout. The release also reports large knowledge-base and chat-search speedups.
Why it matters: Session- and tool-level traces make self-hosted agent failures easier to diagnose, while automation alerts reduce silent task loss. The same explorer can expose sensitive chat content and tool calls, so access policy matters as much as observability.
