OpenAI Signals opens country-level work-activity data
OpenAI released downloadable quarterly data mapping consumer ChatGPT work messages to 165 O*NET-derived activities across nearly 100 countries from Q1 2025 through Q3 2026. The dataset excludes enterprise messages and Codex use.
Why it matters: The release gives labor and policy researchers a reproducible input for cross-country work-use analysis instead of relying only on headline aggregates, while exposing scope and privacy transformations that bound interpretation.
