GitHub Copilot suggests repository-governance property values
GitHub Copilot can now suggest allowed values while an enterprise or organization owner creates a repository custom-property definition. The public preview is available to Copilot Business and Enterprise, and administrators can govern it with a dedicated Repository custom property suggestions policy.
Why it matters: Custom properties often determine which repositories receive rulesets, so AI-generated allowed values can accelerate taxonomy design but also propagate an inconsistent or unsafe classification across a large fleet if accepted without review.
