Cloudflare configuration overflow causes a global network outage
A database-permission change duplicated rows in a Cloudflare Bot Management feature file, doubling it beyond a fixed software allocation. Global propagation caused core proxy failures until Cloudflare stopped generation and restored an earlier configuration.
Why it matters: A metadata query and unchecked configuration size impaired an inline network component worldwide. The incident shows why generated control-plane artifacts need schema qualification, bounds checks, canaries, and last-known-good recovery.
