NVIDIA previews cuPotential for AI-directed chipmaking simulation

NVIDIA introduced cuPotential in early access as a CUDA-X library for atomic-interaction simulation and described a broader stack for AI-assisted chip design, manufacturing and inspection. NanoVDB is available as open source and NPP through the CUDA Toolkit; NVIDIA says early cuPotential tests added a further two-to-three-times speedup to GPU-optimized workflows.

Why it matters: The release gives semiconductor teams a new set of composable simulation and inspection primitives for agent workflows, but each component sits at a different adoption boundary: cuPotential is early access, NanoVDB and NPP are usable now, and several partner…

NVIDIA makes physics and solvers callable by engineering agents

NVIDIA expanded its Agent Toolkit with agent-ready PhysicsNeMo libraries, iterative and direct sparse solvers, and cuEST quantum-chemistry capabilities. Cadence, Siemens, Synopsys and other partners described early engineering uses across simulation, verification, packaging and chip design.

Why it matters: Engineering agents become more useful when they invoke deterministic simulators and solvers instead of approximating technical results in language.
