What changed
ATLAS v1.0 analyzes 15 million aggregated interactions across more than 150 countries, 140 languages, 800 occupations and 4,000 tasks. Google reports AI use across 68% of occupations but only about 21% of tasks in a typical occupation.
Why it matters
Large-scale usage evidence still points toward selective augmentation rather than whole-role replacement.
What to do
Build around individual bottlenecks such as research, diagnostics, drafting and exception handling before automating an entire job.
Caveat
Google products determine the sample, and Google controls the aggregation and task classification.
