What changed

Fastino released GLiDE models at 0.4B, 0.8B, 2B, 9B and 27B parameters for structured choices, yes-or-no probabilities and ratings through one schema. The vendor reports public-suite scores, single-GPU latency and memory figures, while labeling full Decision Index scores as estimates pending the official evaluation.

Why it matters

The family offers a smaller, typed alternative to generative models for routing, classification, policy checks and bounded agent decisions. A shared interface makes size-versus-quality testing straightforward, but probability quality and claimed frontier placement remain unverified.

What to do

Download two adjacent model sizes, replay a labeled slice of real routing or escalation traffic, calibrate probabilities, inspect costly false negatives and compare latency and memory on your own hardware before using any output to approve a consequential action.

Caveat

The release is a 5 November catch-up and keeps that date. Fastino's full-score rankings are estimates with stated intervals, not official leaderboard results; the public-suite, latency and memory numbers are vendor measurements without independent reproduction.
