What changed

AWS organized production agent operations around governance and security, build and operations, evaluation and observability, with versioned artifacts, multi-account controls and release gates.

Why it matters

Agent operations span identity, tools, memory, traces, evaluation, cost and incident response; treating them as ordinary prompt deployments leaves critical gaps.

What to do

Map one production agent against the four pillars, name every missing owner and add one release gate and one production alert.

Caveat

The reference architecture is AWS-centric and broad; organizations must translate it into specific controls, evidence and accountable operating procedures.
