What changed

NVIDIA introduced Cosmos, a platform of world foundation models, tokenizers, guardrails, and data-processing tools intended to turn video and simulation data into training material for robots and autonomous vehicles. Initial models and components were made available to developers.

Why it matters

Physical AI needs models of how environments change, not only language understanding. Cosmos packaged synthetic-data generation and video representation as reusable infrastructure.

What to do

Use Cosmos as a candidate for augmenting scarce robotics video, then validate generated trajectories against held-out real sensor data before training a policy.

Caveat

Performance and time-saving claims were NVIDIA-reported, and synthetic data can reproduce simulator bias or physically implausible behavior.
